Arbor Day Celebration & Tree Planting - April 26

Plant a tree for change with MGA this Arbor Day!

In celebration of this year’s Arbor Day, the MGA community has two opportunities to help plant trees and make strides toward a greener planet:

• From April 23–28, the Arbor Day Foundation will plant a tree for each Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook post with #ArborDay. Learn more.

• Join us at MGA's annual Arbor Day celebration on Wednesday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m. between the west and south parking lots on the Macon Campus. This year, we're adding a Chinese Pistache and a Green Japanese Zelkova to our Gardens! 

In other news, FFA will hold its annual State Convention in Macon from April 26-29. MGA Grounds Manager Tyler Austin has been asked to serve as a judge for the FFA state convention science fair. 

As part of their volunteer work during the state convention, approximately 100 FFA students will be working each day in the gardens on April 26 and 27. This is the third year FFA students have volunteered on the Macon Campus, and we look forward to hosting them.
