RetroTech Seminar: Time Line of Gaming Consoles - April 26

RetroTech Seminar, "Time Line of Gaming Consoles"

Wednesday, April 26 | 11 a.m.

Macon Campus | Macon Campus Library, Lab 1

The Museum of Technology at Middle Georgia State University will be hosting its last RetroTech seminar of the spring semester on April 26 at 11 a.m. in Lab 1 of the Macon Campus Library. This month’s seminar topic is the “Time Line of Gaming Consoles,”  featuring examples from the museum's archives. We'll take a look at the history of game development and have several of our vintage consoles on hand for attendees to play. Pizza and drinks will be provided by the Association of Information Technology Students.

This one-hour session is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about past personal technology and wants the opportunity to interact directly with our collection, museum staff, and volunteers.

“This is another way for us to encourage students, employees, and anyone in the community interested to interact with our collection and the volunteers who keep it running,” said Tina Ashford, an associate professor of information technology and the museum’s faculty curator.
