41NBC Highlights Project SEARCH Program

Last week, 41NBC highlighted Project SEARCH's commitment day on April 28, where local high school students signed commitment letters for on-campus internships with the program.

Through Project SEARCH, Bibb County students/recent graduates with developmental challenges work internships through Aladdin, the University’s food services vendor, and other MGA departments to gain employable skills so they can build resumes and eventually apply for paid jobs.

"The whole premise behind Project SEARCH is to make sure that children with disabilities are afforded the same [opportunities] that any of their typical peers are afforded,” explains Bibb County Project Search Instructor, Jennifer Sanders.
