WGXA Highlights Gulfstream Aerospace Grant Supporting MGA Aviation Programs

In a recent article, WGXA highlighted Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation's $50,000 award to the Middle Georgia State University Foundation in support of technologically advanced training in composites and composite repair at the University's School of Aviation.

"The Chair of the Aviation Maintenance and Structural Technology Department, Martin Kehayes, said the university has two aircraft maintenance programs that prepare students with skills that allow them to work in the aviation industry.

The university recognizes the importance of offering students practical training opportunities and ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the demands of the industry upon graduation. Kehayes said the university's goal as the program continues to grow is to have every student who goes through the aircraft maintenance program be AirFrame and Powerplant Certified by graduation."
