IT Students Utilize Virtual Reality in the Classroom

Middle Georgia State University students in the School of Computing utilized Meta Quest Virtual Reality headsets while studying innovations in technology in Dr. Spangler's ITEC 5100 Current and Emerging Technologies and ITEC 3300 Project Management courses.

Students first used and experienced the headgear and audio-visual 3D innovation to understand how the emerging technology could be used for virtual team collaboration, submersion experiences for organizational training seminars, and future safety instructions for training employees in situational awareness security actions. The teams discussed how virtual reality can be used to reduce stress in the workforce and create team collaboration through gamification!
