New Members Elected to MGA Faculty Senate

A new round of Middle Georgia State University faculty members have been elected to the Faculty Senate, which recommends to the President of the University rules and regulations for the governance of the University and provides committees as may be deemed necessary.

You can find Senators listed by academic unit and campus, along with contact information, at https://www.mga.edu/faculty-staff/faculty-senate/senators.php. You can also find the roster of standing committees and boards, the minutes of those committees and boards, and the minutes of the Senate at https://www.mga.edu/faculty-staff/governance/2023-2024/index.php.

Shared governance allows faculty to participate in the creation of the policies and procedures that mandate the way this institution runs, and it allows them to enact genuine change when those policies and procedures need revision.  The Senate works for the faculty body at large, so faculty members should contact the Senators who represent their academic units or their campuses with concerns that need to be addressed and ideas for making MGA a better place to work and learn.
