Cochran Campus Scheduled Power Outage - December 15

On Friday, Dec. 15, the temporary generator at Memorial Hall, Cochran Campus, will be switched to a permanent natural gas unit. Two power outages will occur when this conversion is made.

The first outage will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. for a new transfer switch to be installed. The second outage cannot be precisely scheduled, but facilities knows it will be Friday afternoon/early evening and is estimated to take about one hour. This second outage will occur when the new generator is brought online. 

The two outages will affect campus services, the most notable of these are:

• Internet/network
• Apogee – dorm WIFI
• Police radio – comms on network
• Phone comms
• Cameras
• Doors

Memorial Hall Faculty/Staff - This outage may affect your ability to VPN to your computers on Monday, Dec. 18. If you have issues accessing your work computer, please contact OTR.
