Holiday Email Replies

During MGA's university-wide holiday teleworking period (December 18 through 22), faculty and staff are not to use automatic email replies or other voicemail messages suggesting the university is closed. Messages of that nature are only to be used if you are on leave or while the University is closed from December 25 through January 1.

Please use the following message samples for automatic email replies:

  • For the holiday break:

Middle Georgia State University (MGA) is closed Mon., 12/25-Mon., 1/1, for the holiday break. We will reopen on Tues., 1/2. Along with the rest of the MGA community, I wish you a happy holiday season

  • For individuals taking leave in addition to the holiday break:
Thank you for your message. I am out of the office (Date-Last Date of Leave). If you need help during this time, please contact (NAME) at (EMAIL). The University is closed Mon., 12/25-Mon., 1/1, for the holiday break. We will reopen on Tues., 1/2. Along with the rest of the MGA community, I wish you a happy holiday season.
