MGA, Trinity Christian School Unveil Aviation Academy

Middle Georgia State University (MGA) and the Trinity Christian School have partnered to create the Tristian Aviation Academy. Students enrolled in the dual enrollment pathway program will earn college credit from MGA while connecting with experienced pilots and receiving theoretical and practical aviation training. The Newnan Times-Herald provided coverage of the ribbon-cutting ceremony held on January 31.

“'This is progressing our students forward in their ability to obtain high school credit along with college credit, so they’re getting a jump start by taking these classes here in high school and advancing forward into a degree program,' said High School Principal Kimberly Jones during the Jan. 31 unveiling of the academy. 'The academic goal here for our students is for us to continue to tailor to meet the needs of the students.'”
