The MGA community is invited to attend the online Georgia Philological Association's conference taking place May 17-18.

Topics include literature, philosophy, history, interdisciplinary studies, pedagogy, film, and more. The keynote speakers will be MGA professors Andre Nicholson and LaRonda Sanders-Senu, who will discuss how their scholarly interests led them to create their work, Insecure, Awkward & #Winning: Intersectionality of Race, Gender, and Sexuality in the Works of Issa Rae, as well as the process of editing and publishing an interdisciplinary work.

Several MGA English faculty are involved in the GPA. Lorraine Dubuisson is currently serving as president and Rhonda Crombie as treasurer. Nate Gilbert is the editor of the peer-reviewed Journal of the Georgia Philological Association.
