MGA Hosts First Middle Georgia Best Buddies Friendship Walk

MGA's Macon Campus hosted the first Middle Georgia Best Buddies Friendship Walk this past weekend. Families, young people with disabilities, high school clubs of Best Buddies from Mary Persons High School and Bibb County Schools were in attendance. The events featured games, music, food, farm animals, and more.

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, leadership and inclusive programs for individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities. MGA has started a chapter of Best Buddies as a registered student organization and will recruit more members starting in the fall of 2024. Please contact Dr. Jane Strong for more information!
