MGA Hosts Robotics Bootcamp

This summer, Middle Georgia State University’s (MGA) IT department hosted a Robotics Bootcamp to provide hands-on experience and STEM education opportunities for campers. Students were introduced to topics such as Java coding, GitHub sponsorships, and programming.

WGXA spoke with Bob Herrmann, executive director of MGA’s STEM Alliance, about the robotics camp experience.

"We're exposing the students to STEM careers, STEM education, hopefully that they'll continue their STEM careers in the four-year college program or even the two-year vocational schools to really help out the workforce in the state of Georgia."
