Toy Drive Donations are being Collected for Families in Need by the MGA Association of Healthcare Executives

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, at least in the lobby of the Macon Campus Student Life Center! A student organization, the #MGA Association of Healthcare Executives, is collecting holiday donations of new toys for families in need. Between now and Dec. 2, representatives of the organization will be in the Student Life Center lobby from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to accept your donations.

Professor D.L. Simmons presented in Birmingham, Alabama at SAMLA 90: Fighters from the Margins: Socio-Political Activists and Their Allies this past weekend in two academic presentations. He also had his Opening Art Exhibition: “Evanescence Eidolon” which features his new artwork collection of large prints during the popular, community-driven event, First Friday Art Crawl in downtown Macon. Advising and MyDegree Template Update

Over the last few months, we have developed advising templates for Middle Georgia’s degree offerings for use in MyDegree.  These templates are now loaded into the system and are ready for use.  Faculty whose names were submitted by their chairs this summer have the ability to access and edit these templates, while all faculty and advisors have access to load these templates into the Planner function in MyDegree for use in advising.

Tomorrow’s midterm elections are very important for the nation and I am glad that locally there have been voter registration initiatives for some months on our campuses to encourage students, faculty and staff to exercise our right to vote.  If you haven’t done so already, please vote tomorrow!
