Roberts Memorial Library on the Cochran Campus as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the city of Cochran! We’ll explore the history of Cochran and its cooperative growth with New Ebenezer College, the forerunner of Middle Georgia College and Middle Georgia State University.
On February 13th and 14th, Career Services hosted a Valentine’s Day themed photo shoot on the Cochran Campus to add some fun to professional headshots. The Office of Career Services is proud to offer MGA students, alumni, faculty, and staff FREE headshot photography.

Middle Georgia State University Foundation established the Outstanding Alumnus Award to recognize graduates who have distinguished themselves academically, professionally or through community involvement, and achieved positions of influence and regional or national reputation.
Join us for MGA’s Basketball Homecoming on Saturday, February 9 at Morris Gym in Cochran to cheer the men and women’s teams as they play Loyola. There will be a special recognition of former players, coaches and assistant coaches. Admission to the game and a hospitality suite are free for our honored guests and their families. The Professional Closet offers business casual and professional clothing for MGA students, alumni, faculty, and staff. The sale is on now through December 10th. The Professional Closet is open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:30 P.M. and Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.
On Thursday, November 8th, The Office of Career Services and the Office of Alumni Affairs debuted their “Voices of Impact” Lecture Series with guest speaker, Dr. Vernard Hodges. Dr. Hodges shared his amazing journey detailing the circumstances he was born into and the choices he made as an adolescent, which almost led him down the wrong path. He also shared how he was able to shift his values and goals, which led to him successfully starting up multiple business ventures, such as starting a real estate holding company which has grown into a multi-million dollar company consisting of several apartment complexes and commercial properties.

The Legacy of Leadership award recognizes an individual, persons or group who has given exemplary service to Middle Georgia State University (MGA) and the Foundation. It is the highest honor that the MGA Foundation bestows. The Outstanding Alumnus award is given to selected alumni who have distinguished themselves academically, professionally, or through community involvement – and achieve positions of influence and regional or national reputation.
