Construction on a three-story residence hall for the Macon Campus of Middle Georgia State University (MGA) is underway, with a formal groundbreaking scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16. EXCITING NEWS! On May 1, fencing will be installed around the Macon campus Student Housing construction site, and site work will begin on the large area east of the Recreation & Wellness building.
From Friday, May 3, through Sunday, May 5, Bike Walk Macon is hosting Jane’s Walk, a series of five walks around different areas in Macon. Each walk is led by citizens who will engage participants in conversation about the neighborhoods being explored on foot. All MGA students, staff and faculty are welcome to participate. The Department of Teacher Education and Social Work, for the Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Public Service/Human Services program and the Public Service Student Club will be sponsoring a B.S. Public Service/Human Services Internship Completion Ceremony and Luncheon at 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 30th in the Foundation Boardroom of the Student Life Center on the Macon Campus. During this event, the Placement Supervisors, as well the students will be honored with certificates and a buffet lunch before invited attendees.
