It’s that time of year again! The 15th Annual Open Education Conference is happening October 10 – 12, 2018 in Niagara Falls, NY. #OpenEd18 is the premier venue for sharing your research, practice, policy, advocacy, and other work related to open education.
We’ve kept our proposal submission process streamlined again this year – #OpenEd18 proposals are a maximum of 500 words – so you can stay focused on changing the world instead of filling out forms.

Middle Georgia State University’s School of Education & Behavioral Sciences is hosting information sessions on three campuses to give people an opportunity to learn more about degree programs in Teaching and Public Service.
Roger Rambo, a Middle Georgia State junior majoring in Information Technology, is the winner of the University’s first “capture the flag” (CTF) competition, called the Cyber Knights Banner Challenge, held in February 2018.
Several other IT majors at Middle Georgia State (MGA) also participated in the CTF event, designed to help teach students about specific aspects of cybersecurity.
In computer security, CTF is a computer security competition and one of the fastest ways to help students learn techniques for protecting systems against cyberattacks. CTF contests are usually designed to serve as an educational exercise to give participants experience in securing a machine, as well as conducting and reacting to the sort of attacks found in the real world.
