BSU Hosting Peace Rally

The Black Student Unification and National Society of Leadership and Success is having a peace rally on September 26, 2017 at 6-8pm. The event will take place on the Macon Campus, at the Student Life Center Outdoor Amphitheater. The event is open to the public.

Come celebrate Constitution Day with MGA departments

Celebrate Constitution Day with the MGA libraries and the Department of History and Political Science. Visit the Macon campus library on Wednesday, September 20, from 1-3 p.m. to learn more about the Constitution, voting, and civic engagement.


Middle Georgia State Library Hosts Free Film Screenings Focused on First Amendment Issues

The Middle Georgia State University Library is hosting screenings of two films in late September to generate discussion of First Amendment issues. All screenings are free and open to the public. The Library will show “I Am Not Your Negro,” directed by Raoul Peck, at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, in the Arts Complex Theater on the Macon Campus. Discussion will follow, led by DeMarcus Beckham, president of the student group Gay Straight Alliance, Kelsei Etchison, president of Black Student Unification, and Dr. Andre Nicholson, assistant professor of Communication Studies.


Middle Georgia State University Hosts 2017 Heart of Georgia Air Show

The 2017 Heart of Georgia Air Show takes place Saturday, Sept. 30, at Middle Georgia State University’s Aviation campus in Eastman. Gates open at 10 a.m. The show begins at noon. This event is free and open to the public.
