The Macon campus Recreation and Wellness Department will be hosting a yoga class and Q&A this Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 3:30pm-5:00pm in the Arts Complex Rehearsal Hall.
There are multiple events taking place across all five campuses during the week of Valentines Day for the MGA Health Clinic’s Love Yourself Campaign.
It’s that time again for our Benefits and Well-being Fairs which will be held in Cochran and Macon!
The Health Clinic is participating in the Department of Public Health Sexual Assault Awareness campaign by providing FREE gonorrhea, chlamydia, and trichomonas testing. During the month of April, participants may come by the clinic during office hours (9: 00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. and 1:00 P.M. -4:45 P.M.) and provide a sample to have screened. The participant will be treated for any positive results by the clinic. All questions and concerns can also be addressed as needed.
MGA’s Women’s Studies Association is hosting a Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day Table Talk on March 12th at 12:30 P.M. in PSC 132 on the Macon Campus. FREE HIV testing will be provided by the Middle Georgia AIDS Network.
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Kelly Wilmer as the new nurse practitioner in Student Health Services/Health Clinic in Cochran. Kelly joined us Monday, March 4th and will continue to shadow Autumn Lucas between the Macon and Cochran Campus clinics over the next week or so to acquaint herself with our campuses and processes.
All members of the MGA community are invited to join the MGA Health Clinic at “Diet Mythbusters” as they host a registered dietitian to answer all your diet/nutrition related questions, debunk trendy and/or misleading diet claims, and offer healthy diet plans. The event will take place March 14th, 11:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. in the SLC Lobby (alongside the Red Cross Blood Drive) on the Macon Campus.
