For several years running, Middle Georgia State University faculty member Liz Riley has been among the campers at the Greater Macon Sleepout, an annual event to raise money to help homeless members of the community. Riley, an associate professor in the School of Business, talks openly about losing a brother to alcoholism and homelessness, so the fundraiser is close to her heart. This year, she wondered if any student organizations might like to participate. To her pleasant surprise, three Middle Georgia State (MGA) student organizations stepped up.

New Media and Communication students in Cochran worked with MGA Knights baseball players to hold Media Day on Thursday, January 25. The goal of Media Day is to allow NMAC students to practice their PR/Media and production skills in a hands-on atmosphere while helping the MGA Knights baseball team gain exposure.
Bring a date and enjoy a steak! Stone Steakhouse will be serving a special steak dinner on the Cochran and Macon campuses for students and their dates on Valentine’s Day.
The English Studies Organization is proud to announce the return of the Academic Writing Boot Camp! This – by students/for students – event will take place March 1st in the Writing Center (TEB 226) on the Macon Campus and will serve as a general introduction to the riveting world of academic writing.
