Cathy Cox is Keynote Speaker of the Georgia Council of Graduate Schools Fall 2017 meeting at MGA

On Wednesday, October 25, from 9:15 to 10:30 am in the Arts Complex Theatre on the Macon campus of MGA, Cathy Cox, Dean of Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University will deliver a presentation titled, “Reflections on Academic Leadership and Lifelong Learning.” This is free and open to the public.

Dean Cox served as the Georgia Secretary of State for two terms and as President of Young Harris College for ten years before she was named Dean of the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer this fall. Her talk will be the keynote address to the Fall 2017 Meeting of the Georgia Council of Graduate Schools (GCGS) taking place throughout the day at MGA on October 25.

Dr. Kevin Cantwell, Dean of Graduate Studies, and other members of Middle Georgia State University have been active in the Georgia Council of Graduate Schools—an organization comprised of administrators and faculty that represents and advocates for the improvement and advancement of graduate education in the state of Georgia—since graduate programs were inaugurated at MGA. Dr. Loretta Clayton, Director of Graduate Student Policy & Support, currently serves as President of the GCGS.
