Changes to Grading Policies Effective Spring 2015

A reminder of changes to grading policies implemented Spring 2015:

  • FA is no longer an assignable grade.

An “F” should be assigned for failure to pass the course, regardless of the reason.   FA should not appear in the drop-down grade menu.  Ignore it should it appear.

  • If an F is the assigned grade, the last date of attendance must be recorded along with the grade.

  • If an I is the assigned grade, the last date of attendance must be recorded along with the grade.  The Reason for Assigning an Incomplete Form that was required pre-consolidation is no longer required.

  • Students who receive an I as the course grade have until mid-semester of the following semester to satisfy course requirements.  If the requirements are not met, the grade will automatically convert to an F.

Note – Students have until mid-semester of the returning semester to satisfy course requirements. Students who do not return to campus will have one calendar year to satisfy course requirements before the grade converts to an F.
