Conversations about diversity, inclusion to be held in 2016

Middle Georgia State University recognizes the importance of diversity, inclusion, and equity for our community on and off of campus.  I am happy to announce that when we return for spring semester we will engage in campus conversations, the results of which will inform a focused effort to enhance and maintain a diverse and inclusive environment at MGA.

We will listen, learn, and collaborate with our students, faculty, and staff throughout spring semester to better understand the campus climate at MGA.  I will engage a group of interested faculty, staff, and students to help shape the conversation and put forth recommendations for implementation in fall 2016.

Rest and recharge during the break and come back in January ready to engage. With five campuses spanning the heart of Georgia in urban and rural communities, diversity of background and experience is one of MGA’s many strengths.  Together, we will build on that strength and continue to learn from one another.
