Students in two Experiential Learning classes this semester (HS 2380 – Health Communications) and (PSYC 4030- Psychological Testing) have worked diligently on an IRB approved research project focused on educating their fellow classmates about the necessity of an advanced care planning and collecting data identifying significant attitudes and factors that influence the completion of advance directives among college students. The week of April 16- 22, 2017 is National Healthcare Decisions Week/Day – an initiative to encourage patients to express their wishes regarding healthcare and for providers and facilities to respect those wishes, whatever they may be. Across the institution, students will be set up at information tables with healthcare and legal partners to help students fill out documents and also answer any questions. For more information, students can visit this Facebook page or visit the following link to complete the survey.
