Georgia College Hosting Earth Week Celebrations

Georgia College would like to invite students, faculty, staff, and family to their Earth Week celebrations. They will have the inspirational Xiuhtezcatl Martinez coming to speak on Thursday, so you won’t want to miss out! No RSVP is necessary!

Monday, April 17th @ 6PM: “Don’t Flush It!”

  • What: A play about fats, oils, and grease in the water system put on by GC Theatre students.
  • Where: Black Box Theatre, Downtown Milledgeville 

Thursday, April 20th @ 5PM: Sustainability Fee Council Symposium: Key Note by Xiuhtezcatl Martinez

  • What: A 16-year-old indigenous climate activist, hip-hop artist, and powerful voice on the front lines of a global, youth-led environmental movement. He has engaged in a legal battle with the US Government and has spoken at the UN Paris Climate Conference. GC Students will also be showcasing their research and displaying the sustainability happenings around campus.

Friday, April 21st all day: Hang out outside with the Environmental Science Club

  • What: The GC Environmental Science Club is hosting outdoor crafts, games, and fun. They will also have a band playing on the Front Campus lawn later in the day (more details to come).
