The Graduate Studies Council, a faculty group that consults with the Executive Committee, the Senate (including committees and boards of the Senate), and the Provost to develop policies and practices for graduate studies, requests nominations for new members beginning in the fall of 2017. The requirements for serving are as follows: nominees will
– be tenured or tenure-track;
– hold a terminal degree;
– serve for at least two years on the council; and
– have a strong record of (or significant potential for) scholarship, service, and teaching.
