Guard Your Heart – Go Red for Women Campaign

The School of Health Sciences, in conjunction with the American Heart Association, would like to invite you to participate in the Go Red for Women campaign activities to be held on campus the week of April 20th-24th. The goal for this national campaign is to bring awareness to the fact that heart disease and stroke do not just affect men! In fact, 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke. But it can be prevented.

On Monday, April 20th at 12:30pm in the SLC, the AHA will offer an educational speaker to tell you what you can do to be more aware of the facts surrounding women and heart disease and how you can “Guard your Heart”! On Tuesday, April 21st, from 11am-1pm, Aramark will be offering Heart Healthy snacks to celebrate the Go Red for Women campaign as well.

Do not let heart disease and stroke sneak up on you! Learn how to “Guard your Heart”!
