This is a FREE EVENT open to the public.

The Name of the Rose” is a medieval mystery thriller based on Umberto Eco’s novel of the same name. Dr. Kathleen Burt, a medievalist who teaches English at MGA, will give an introduction and lead a post-film discussion, sharing her expertise on themes such as semiotics and structuralism, Medieval Church history, manuscript production, and Aristotle’s Poetics and Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. This will be a rare opportunity to see this cinematic gem on a huge HD screen.
