VIEW FLYER: Talk to Her
MGA faculty, students, and the off-campus community are cordially invited to this semester’s Interdisciplinary film event on October 10 at 6 PM in the Math Auditorium. “Talk to Her (Hable con ella),” a comedy-drama from Spain, has had a great success among audiences and critics. It is also poetry in motion that encompasses passion, loneliness, death, and revival. The power of arts and the characters’ intricately subtle yet unbridled psyches will intrigue you and linger around for a long while after you finish the film. This will be a rare opportunity to see this cinematic gem on a huge HD screen.
Here is a trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fl8tyEIXXI
Rated R. Spanish with English subtitles. Free and open to the public.
Dr. David Biek who teaches psychology at MGA will share his expertise as he gives an introduction to the film and leads the post-film discussion. There will be students and faculty from Psychology, Sociology, & Criminal Justice and from Media, Culture, & the Arts. As always, faculty and students from other disciplines are welcome as well!
Refreshments will be served while they last. Thanks to Dr. Corey Guyton (Director of Student Engagement) and Dr. Robert McTyre (Chair, Dept. of MCA) for sponsoring this meaningful, multidisciplinary, and diversity-driven event for MGA faculty, students, and the off-campus community.
Please see the attached poster for more information about the film and the event. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you at the screening!
