INTERNAL POSITION- Lecturer, Sociology

Middle Georgia State University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in Sociology to begin Fall 2017. This position involves teaching a 5/5 course load, and teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening classes in core Sociology classes at any of the five campus locations (Macon, Warner Robins, Cochran, Dublin, and Eastman), including online.

QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a Master’s Degree and the ability to be credentialed in Sociology. Teaching experience is preferred. An interest or experience in innovative course delivery models would be an asset. The teaching load is 15 hours per semester. Teaching responsibilities will include day and/or evening classes and experience with online and hybrid course delivery will be a plus.

The candidate selected for employment will be subject to a background check.
