Due to the volume of inquiries we are receiving, I wanted to make sure everyone is aware that the MGA Health Clinics are now open. And yes, we have clinics on the Cochran and Macon campuses.
Our Director of Student Health Services, Nicole Smith, is currently alternating days between the two clinics for the time being. We are looking to add another nurse practitioner in the coming weeks.
The Macon campus Health Clinic, located in the Community Education Center (building next to the old gymnasium), will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Cochran campus Health Clinic, located in Browning Hall, will be open Mondays and Wednesdays.
The hours for both campus clinics are 9am to Noon and 1pm to 5pm.
The numbers for each clinic are:
Macon – 478-471-2092
Cochran – 478-271-5401
While we do not have clinic sites in Dublin, Eastman, or Warner Robins, Nicole will be offering health outreach and education opportunities in the months to come. Of course, students, faculty, and staff on those campuses can access the services of either campus clinic.
We are continuing to update the Health Services web page as we continue to look at ways to broaden health services for the MGA community.
Please remember that in cases of medical emergencies on campus, the first call should be to 911 (or 9-911, if calling from a campus phone) then University Police. Student Health Services and the Clinics are for minor episodic care.
We appreciate your continued patience as we strive to provide our campus community with this valuable resource.
