MGA Leap Summer Informational Sessions

MGA Liberal Education and America’s Promise (LEAP) is an opportunity to see MGA Core Values of Stewardship, Engagement, Adaptability, and Learning in action while promoting student success and preparing students for a world beyond the classroom. The American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) describes Liberal Education as “an approach to learning that empowers individuals and prepares them to deal with complexity, diversity, and change. It provides students with broad knowledge of the wider world (e.g. science, culture, and society) as well as in-depth study in a specific area of interest.” Employers want graduates who have a strong content knowledge, the ability to communicate, problem solve, and work well with others regardless of the academic discipline.

The MGA LEAP Group will hold two drop-in informational sessions on LEAP, and you are invited to attend as your schedules allow:

  •  Macon Campus: Wednesday, June 27, 2018, College of Arts & Sciences (COAS) – Room 210, 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
  • Cochran Campus: Thursday, June 28, 2018, Walker Hall – Room 301, 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

If you are unable to attend and would like to receive materials electronically, please e-mail Dr. Debra Matthews (debra.matthews@mga.edu) with your request.  Thank you.
