MGA’s Community Gardens

Students, faculty and staff are invited to join the MGA Community Gardens!

Several faculty and staff have once again expressed an interest in a Community Garden on the Macon campus.  Gardens are a great source of fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs.  They provide relaxation and an opportunity to be outdoors.  Garden plots are approximately 10 x 10 and can be shared with another person if that seems too large.   Water lines are provided, but gardeners must provide a hose and/or a sprinkler.   The Macon campus Community Garden, located in the terraced field on the West side of campus at the corner of Ivey Drive and Eisenhower Parkway and across from Tractor Supply, will be tilled and ready by Monday, April 18, 2016.  To claim a plot, please contact Sabrina Balkcolm at Sabrina.balkcom@mga.edu.

Garden spaces in Cochran, Dublin and Warner Robins have also been set aside for anyone who may be interested in developing other Community Gardens.  If you would like to claim a garden plot on one of the other campuses, please contact Laura Gay at laura.gay@mga.edu.
