Middle Georgia State to Join USG in Celebrating Our Ethical Culture

Ethics Awareness Week is November 11-17, 2018

 

Faculty and staff at Middle Georgia State University will join colleagues across the University System of Georgia in celebrating Ethics Awareness Week with a series of events and fun reminders. The theme for the annual observance in 2018 is Celebrating Our Ethical Culture.

 

MGA is hosting activities to bring awareness to the importance of an ethical culture and to recognize and promote the USG’s shared Core Values of Integrity, Excellence, Accountability and Respect. Activities next week include the following:

Moderated by Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning Darryl Hancock, panelists include:

  • University Counsel Frances Davis, who has taught the security policy, ethical and legal issues course in the School of Information Technology
  • Vice President for Advancement Dr. Ken Fincher, who teaches business ethics in the School of Business
  • Associate Professor of Respiratory Therapy Dr. Charles Matson, School of Health Sciences
  • Assistant Professor of Clinical Social Work Dr. Michele Scordato, School of Education & Behavioral Sciences

BOR Ethics Training (Online)

Due Friday, November 16, 2018

Full-time faculty and staff will be receiving instructions in a separate email (from donotreply@donotreply.view.usg.edu) explaining how to access the BOR Ethics training via D2L (check your Clutter folder if you do not see it in your Inbox by Monday, November 12, 2018).

Note: You can complete it online anytime starting Monday and it takes approximately 45 minutes

IT IS MANDATORY THAT ALL FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES COMPLETE THIS TRAINING NO LATER THAN 12:00 Noon on Friday, NOVEMBER 16, 2018
