President to Hold WWI Centennial Lecture

While we often talk about the Greatest Generation of World War II, we seldom give thought to the Forgotten Generation of World War I. President Blake, whose book on World War I will be published later this year, will offer a lecture on the Great War next week.

On April 6, 1917, President Woodrow Wilson was forced to engage the US in the most dreadful, costly and far-reaching conflict of human history to date.

Dr. Blake will hold two sessions on Thursday, April 6, 2017—the centennial anniversary of US entry into World War I—as follows:

8:30am – Coffee Conversation

Cochran Campus

President’s Dining Room

5pm – End of Day Discussion

Macon Campus

112 Professional Sciences Center

Interested faculty, staff and students are welcome to join in as the President discusses the importance of the US entry into the Great War.
