- The Purple Polar Plunge
Pick your poison: Lake side or Pool side
The state of Georgia has committed to Complete College America’s goal that by 2020, 60 percent of young adults will hold a college certificate or degree. It will take a concerted effort by all MGA faculty and staff – starting right now.
Our very own MGA Foundation will oversee and administer emergency grants for our students. SEAL (Student Emergency Access to Learning) applications of up to $500 may be available to help students relieve acute, unexpected problems that are of a short-term nature. This includes unexpected expenses that may compromise continued enrollment.
Here’s your chance to make a difference and help keep our students on the path of success. It’s as easy as 1-2-3.
1. Talk with your co-workers and form a team of 10-15 faculty/staff members. Each team member pledges $5 towards SEAL. One team member is selected to take the “plunge” March 5th in either Macon’s Lake Knee Deep or Cochran’s pool. You are not obligated to “plunge” and can pass to another team member for $10. We’re looking for 20-25 teams with sign-ups through Google: http://tinyurl.com/l4t9uoy. Not interested in forming a team? Simply donate $5, 10 or more!
2. Collect the funds.
3. Take or support the group “plunge” in Macon at 2pm or Cochran at 4pm on March 5th and watch for the ripple effect.
