Strategic Planning Priorities Survey

Dear Faculty and Staff,

During a recent retreat, members of the cabinet identified five focal points of strategic importance for the 2016-2017 academic year . The focal points are: 1) Purposeful Enrollment Growth, 2) Financial Sustainability, 3) Knowledge Assets (intellectual resources found within database, software, people, documents or policies, 4) Valuing People, and 5) Student-Focused Excellence. Each area supports one or more strategic directions from our 2015-18 university plan.

We would like your input in setting and prioritizing our action plans within each of these major areas. Please rank the following initiatives and submit your ideas for new priorities that should be considered. I have asked Dr. Blake to delay his video chat with the institution from September 1st until the week after Labor Day to allow us the necessary time to analyze the results of this survey and he has agreed.

If you have questions, please contact Dr. Michael Gibbons (, or 478.471.2458).

We need your feedback by August 26th.

PLEASE NOTE: This survey is ONLY to be completed by current employees of Middle Georgia State University.

Here is the Survey

Thank you,

Melanie Hatch
