The Georgia Council of Graduate Schools (GCGS) held its fifth annual conference at the Marriott City Center Hotel in Macon on April 19-20. As the current GCGS president, Dr. Loretta Clayton, director of Graduate Student Policy and Support at Middle Georgia State University, organized the two-day academic conference.
The Georgia Council of Graduate Schools (GCGS) held its fifth annual conference and meeting at the Marriott City Center Hotel in Macon on April 19-20, 2018. Dr. Loretta Clayton, Director of Graduate Student Policy and Support at Middle Georgia State University, is the 2017-2018 GCGS President. She organized the two-day academic conference of panel discussions covering topics ranging from strategies to mentor and engage graduate students in conversations about developing new and innovative graduate programs and establishing strong partnerships within and across institutions.
The Georgia Council of Graduate Schools Spring 2018 Conference & Meeting will be on April 19 – 20, 2018 at the Marriott City Center Hotel in downtown Macon.
The GCGS is comprised of administrators, faculty, and staff throughout the state who work in the area of graduate studies and MGA has had a strong presence in the GCGS for the past few years. Several MGA administrators, including Dr. Cantwell, Associate Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies, and faculty members who teach graduate classes are presenting at the Spring 2018 Conference. The annual conference provides an opportunity to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices
On Wednesday, October 25, from 9:15 to 10:30 am in the Arts Complex Theatre on the Macon campus of MGA, Cathy Cox, Dean of Walter F.
