IDS Film Event: “The Name of the Rose”

MGA faculty, students, and the off-campus community are cordially invited to this semester’s FREE Interdisciplinary Film Event on February 28th at 5:00 P.M. in the Math Auditorium on the Macon Campus. This will be a rare opportunity to see the cinematic gem, “The Name of the Rose” on a huge HD screen.


Member of MGA’s Spanish Faculty Translates Poems for New Anthology

Dr. Yunsuk Chae, associate professor of Spanish at Middle Georgia State University, was the translator for the just-published ‘From the Other Shore (Desde la otra orilla),’ a bilingual anthology in English and Spanish. Chae translated the original poems in Spanish, which were selected from six books written by María Paz Moreno. Originally from Spain, Moreno teaches and resides in the U.S. She is a poet, essayist, and literary critic who has been anthologized and published in numerous poetry collections in Spain.

Interdisciplinary Film Event: “The Throne” on the Macon Campus

MGA faculty, students, and the off-campus community are cordially invited to this semester’s Interdisciplinary film event on Oct 9, 2017 at 7 PM in the Math Auditorium. “The Throne,” a poignant historical drama from South Korea, delves into a tragic relationship of a father and a son. Dr. Benita Muth who teaches English at MGA will share her expertise as she relates the film with Shakespeare’s Henry IV. This will be a rare opportunity to see this cinematic gem on a huge HD screen.
