Georgia Council of Graduate Schools Spring 2018 Conference

The Georgia Council of Graduate Schools Spring 2018 Conference & Meeting will be on April 19 – 20, 2018 at the Marriott City Center Hotel in downtown Macon.

The GCGS is comprised of administrators, faculty, and staff throughout the state who work in the area of graduate studies and MGA has had a strong presence in the GCGS for the past few years. Several MGA administrators, including Dr. Cantwell, Associate Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies, and faculty members who teach graduate classes are presenting at the Spring 2018 Conference. The annual conference provides an opportunity to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices


Middle Georgia State University’s Macon Campus Earns 10th Consecutive Tree Campus USA Designation

For the 10th consecutive year, the Arbor Day Foundation recognizes the Macon Campus of Middle Georgia State University as a Tree Campus USA.

Tree Campus USA is a program founded by the Arbor Day Foundation to recognize colleges and universities that effectively manage trees and engage students in participating in campus beautification and educating them on environmental issues.


MGA Invited to the 2018 Old Book Sale

Friends of the Library invites the Middle Georgia State University community to stop by the 2018 Old Book Sale at Central City Park in Macon. This is one of the region’s most popular annual events. Proceeds support the Middle Georgia Regional Library System.

Volunteering Opportunity for MGA Students

The Black Student Unification at Middle Georgia State University is helping the Frank Johnson Community Center find students to volunteer as tutors in an afterschool program. It is a great opportunity to assist children who may be needing more assistance in certain school subjects.
