Workshop Opportunity: Best Practices for Teaching a V-con Class

This workshop will focus on the “dos and don’ts” of videoconferencing classroom instruction across the campuses of Middle Georgia State University. Strategies related to increasing student engagement and overcoming obstacles will be addressed. Attendees will leave with best practices gleaned from experience and research that can be used to help increase student and faculty achievement and success.


Workshop Opportunity: Using Films On Demand and Swank Digital Campus

Do you ever use audiovisual resources to teach your class? Do you assign films for your students to watch? If so, the Library and SSC can assist you in your search for digitized videos. Come learn about in-class and out-of-class video resources offered by the MGA Library and Student Success Center. The workshop will cover Films on Demand, Swank Digital Campus, and in-house SSC streaming.

Middle Georgia State Hosts Live Facebook Chat About Dual-Enrollment Program

Students and their parents interested in learning more about dually enrolling in college before graduating high school are invited to chat live via Facebook with Maggie Schuyler, assistant director of Admissions at Middle Georgia State University, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12.
