No conversation is Worth a Life: What Happens after the Crash?
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Distracted driving claimed 3,477 lives in 2015 alone. Knowledge of these devastating statistics prompted Middle Georgia State University’s Police Department, Respiratory Therapy, and Residence Life to team up and educate MGA students about the perils of distracted driving! Students experienced a Distracted Driving and Emergency Room scene demo, showing students how much one text message could truly cost. Special thank you to Lieutenant Detective Toya Coleman and Jasmine Brown Assistant Professor Respiratory Therapy for reminding us all that no conversation is worth a life!
