Michael Koohang, a Middle Georgia State University graduating senior, is one of just 350 students to win a scholarship to attend this year’s Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Jose, Calif., an iconic event where the company showcases software and technologies and announces new products.
As the duo representing Middle Georgia State University at the Collegiate Cup coding competition, Michael Koohang and Deep Patel built a platform designed to empower and connect educators by providing them with the tools and support they need to learn and teach computer science.
Congratulations to #MGA Information Technology majors Michael Koohang and Deep Patel! They will represent Middle Georgia State University as a team in the upcoming Collegiate Cup, a statewide competition in the categories of coding, case study, and design. Serving as MGA team mentor will be Dr. M.J. Kwak of the IT faculty.
Michael Koohang recently completed an undergraduate internship at Georgia Tech that focused on civic data research. Thanks in large part to dual enrollment, Koohang will complete his B.S. in Information Technology by the time he is 18 years old
