All MGA employees are invited to attend Census Celebrations on the Macon and Cochran campuses Oct. 17 and 18.
I am deeply saddened to inform you of the passing earlier today of Dr. David A. Bell, former President of Macon State College from 1997 to 2011. After his retirement as President, David continued serving Macon State until 2013 as a Professor of Philosophy. President Bell was a giant on whose shoulders we now stand, and Middle Georgia State University owes an inestimable debt of gratitude to him for his vision, dedication and leadership. His legacy leaves us much to be proud of and he will be sorely missed by those who had the privilege to know and work with him.
Dr. Blake will hold two sessions on Tuesday, April 6, 2017—the centennial anniversary of US entry into World War I—for interested faculty, staff, and students.
Links to a summary of takeaway points, as well as a link to the entire speech, is provided.
