Beginning fall 2018, Middle Georgia State University (MGA) is lowering tuition for online courses by about 11 percent.
On April 14, 2015, the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG) approved a 9% tuition increase for Middle Georgia State for the 2015-16 academic year. The institution’s current state college tuition rate of $99.67 per credit hour will increase next year to $108.67 per credit hour – an increase of $9 per credit hour. For a student taking a full 15-hour course load, the total tuition increase will be $135 per semester. We understand that any increase in tuition, no matter how small, will impact our students. This tuition increase is necessary for us to increase baccalaureate and master’s education and provide richer educational experiences. Middle Georgia State and the USG are committed to minimizing the financial impact of the transition to state university tuition by gradually increasing tuition over a six-year period.
