The Office of Career Services: March Events

The MGA Office of Career Services has some great events coming up!

Tuesday, 3/14: WellStar Health System will be recruiting on the Macon campus! Make sure to come see what great opportunities they have! They will be in Jones 145 from 11am-1pm.

Wednesday, 3/15: We will be having a Goal Setting and Vision Board Party on the Macon campus in SLC 254 from 12pm-1pm. Come have some fun and explore your dreams and aspirations in a creative way! The first seven students to attend will receive FREE AmStar tickets!

Tuesday, 3/21– We will be hosting Grad School Workshops (GRE and GMAT) on our Warner Robins campus in Oak Hall, Room 212 from 3:30pm-5:30pm. Come meet with a rep from The Princeton Review to find out test-taking tips, strategies, pricing, and more! The GRE workshop will be from 3:30pm-4:30pm and GMAT will be from 4:30pm-5:30pm. If you plan to attend, simply fill out this registration form (Registration is NOT required though; this is just to give us an early head count):

Wednesday, 3/22– We will be hosting a TEACHER RECRUITMENT CAREER FAIR on our Macon campus in TEB 202 from 10am-12pm. Come meet with 15+ school systems to discuss all their available teaching opportunities. This event is also open to alumni as well as the community. So feel free to also invite anyone else you know who may be interested in attending!

Monday, 3/27 -Thursday, 3/30– Our office will host a Job and Internship Search Workshop on four campuses! Topics will include how to effectively use various social media and internet resources to secure the job or internship most preferred. The workshops for each campus are scheduled for:

Monday, 3/27- Cochran Campus, Sanford 112, 12pm-1pm

Tuesday, 3/28- Eastman Campus, Computer Lab 1137, 12pm-1pm

Wednesday, 3/29- Warner Robins Campus, WRACC, 11am-12pm

Thursday, 3/30- Dublin, LIB 203, 2pm-3pm

Monday, April 3 and Thursday, April 13th– In collaboration with the MGA Dept. of Public Safety, there will be a presentation on to “How to Approach a Career in Criminal Justice”. Come find out all the different career options in this field as well as what it is like to work in law, law enforcement, corrections, and the court system! This event will be on the Cochran campus on April 3rd from 12pm-1pm in the Presidential Dining Room and on the Macon campus on April 13th from 12pm-1pm in SLC 280.
