To raise money for a service learning trip to Washington, DC during Spring Break this year, the President’s Torch Society is putting on a faculty/staff v. students/alumni flag football tournament on MGA’s first “Football Friday” this February, 23 at 5:30pm.
What better way to get to know each each other and fuel school spirit than through a little friendly competition?!
Check-in begins at 5:30pm with kick-off promptly at 6pm. After the game, trophy ceremony and door prize drawing will begin at 7pm in the Student Life Center.
Wristbands for the event are $16 and include entrance (as a competitor or tournament watcher), commemorative t-shirt, plus food (think sandwiches, nachos, and cookies) and drinks (of the soft variety) at the awards ceremony.
Organize a team of 7 and get $1 off each wristband ($15 per person).
Register online by Friday, February 16.
Already have plans that night? You can still show your support by making a small donation to support the service learning trip!
Each $5 (tax deductible!) donation entitles you to a chance to win (need not be there in person) one of several door prizes, including:
-Family of four admission tickets to GA Sports Hall of Fame
-Pin Strikes free and discounted bowling coupons
-Free admission tickets to Amstar 16 movie theater
-Scout tote bag w/ free monogram from Ace Hardware of Gray
-Free 1 year family membership to the Museum of Arts and Sciences
-Merchandise from the Museum of Aviation
The event is family friendly. Children accompanying parents/guardians will be admitted for a $5 donation on behalf of the family, in lieu of a wristband.
Payment for wristbands and/or donations may be dropped off to planning committee members Dennis Henderson or Natalie Esparza in the Office of the President.
