University Designation July 1 and Celebratory Events

A message from President Blake – Wednesday, July 1 events:

On Wednesday, July 1, 2015 Middle Georgia State College officially becomes Middle Georgia State University. In recognition of this historic occasion, two events are scheduled for that day on the Macon Campus.  At 8:00 am, a short unveiling ceremony will take place at the sign by the main entrance to the new University on Eisenhower Parkway, followed by a reception on the first floor of the Administration building.

I am also inviting faculty, staff and Foundation trustees to come by the President’s office from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm for light refreshments. If your schedule allows, please feel free to attend either event.
