Zika Updates

While the Zika virus has been out of the media spotlight, the CDC continues to work diligently with other organizations to help keep us safe and aware. As of March 29, 2017, there have been 5,182 Zika cases reported in the United States (110 of these in Georgia). Over 4,000 of these cases were reported in travelers returning from areas affected with Zika. Only 222 cases have been locally acquired within the United States (216 in Florida and 6 in Texas).
