Due to a national event in Perry on Aug. 10-15, hotels in our communities may have limited or no availability for the 2nd and 3rd weeks of August (event details below). Visitors and guests to MGA who will require an overnight stay during this period should be notified as soon as possible so that alternate arrangements may be made.
From Visit Macon:
Middle Georgia is hosting the National Bikers Roundup (NBR) in mid-August, and we’re going to see more than 50,000 attendees from around the country visiting our area and riding motorcycles. The event itself is being held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, but attendees are staying in hotels, campgrounds and short-term rentals throughout the region.
The event runs August 10-15, but people may be arriving as early as the weekend before. We have been told that there will be a number of RVs coming into the area on Tuesday morning (August 10), and planners anticipate increased shopping and dining as those guests arrive. We should also see many attendees dining out and shopping throughout the entirety of the event. There are programmed events throughout the week at the Fairgrounds, and entertainment is very heavy on Friday and Saturday nights, so we anticipate the majority of attendees to be there those evenings.
