It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Waugh, Senior Analyst, Office of Institutional Research and Data Strategy. Our beloved friend and co-worker passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022.
After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, Colonel Thomas Waugh, joined Macon State College in 1993, as the Director of the Robins Resident Center and Warner Robins Campus. Prior to retiring in August 2012, Mr. Waugh served as the Registrar of Macon State College. His dedication and commitment to the university was evidenced by his return to the University in a part-time capacity. On a personal level, Mr. Waugh is best described as, “one of a kind”. Mr. Waugh, helped implement the first student database in the 1990s. Middle Georgia State University will forever be impacted by the work of Mr. Waugh. The MGA flag will be flown on all campuses for one week in memory of Mr. Waugh, and his years of dedicated service. The flag will then be delivered to the family.
